06 Steps

Reception of the files
We receive the articles in Word format (.doc or .docx), and at that stage, we already prepare the material to be sent to Adobe InDesign.

Layout creation
We create the article layout in the journal standard; that is, we define together with the newspaper's editor the distribution of the first page and whether the rest will be in a single, double, or triple column. As well as cover standard, back cover, odd page, printing standard (if necessary), and much more.

The first page of the article
We insert information on the first page, such as sections, titles, authors, affiliations, ORCID, and DOI, among others.

Editing of the article body
We insert the body of the article, making all the necessary adjustments about the style of the journal: spacing, bold, italics, different fonts in topics, overwriting/subscription, etc.

Insertion of graphic material
We place all the figures, tables, and graphs following the journal standard, carefully following their structural characteristics.

Export
Article finished! It is time to export the InDesign content to the PDF with the highest standard of quality and resolution.

Sending the first and second tests
After exporting, we select the finished PDF files and send them to the journal editor for approval or proofreading of the first and second proof of the material.

Export criteria
When the material is approved, we send the finished version in PDF in the versions for digital publication or printing according to the criteria of the graphic selected by the client (verify contracted standard).
